2016 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 24: Snowbacca? Santa Chew? Chewie Claus?

Chewie Day has finally arrived!  And while I can't decide what to call him, this figure is most decidedly awesome.  I love his snowcaster/bowcaster!  And he looks a lot cooler in person than he did on the box.  It's a funny contrast to the gentle toy-toting Santa-3PO from last year...this is a weapon-wielding Wookiee on a hockey sleigh.  It brings a whole new meaning to "you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why....Chewie Claus is coming to town!"

Total pieces: 13 (plus 2 extra triggers)

Difficulty: 3 out of 5 (the snowcaster is a little tricky)

My rating: 5 out of 5.  I love this one.  Much more than I thought I would, in fact.

Final tally: 9 vehicles, 8 minifigs, 2 non-minifig droids, 2 cannons, 1 palace, 1 snowman, 1 sleigh

My final thoughts...it was a solid year, overall.  I liked the fact that they didn't bother with any "weapon rack" windows that have plagued previous calendars.  Just the (mostly) good stuff.  Lots of vehicles and cool figures.  There were a couple weak builds (the skiff especially), and the themes were a little disjointed (why wasn't there more to go with the Naboo scenery?) but I liked the vast majority of it.  And when it's Legos, Star Wars, and Christmas time, I'll always get a kick out of it.
